One of our favorite bloggers Latest Disgrace had this to say about our newest single, the Deluge….
“(The Deluge) sees the band taking a cosmic flight through some sci-fi alternate reality with cascading guitars spilling out across billowing clouds of Hendrix-like psychedelia. There’s some rumbling, stormy sections as well, but mostly the band is content to glide from passage to passage without resorting to the epic builds and dizzying crescendos that marks so much of their music. It’s a calmer, more subdued sound than we’ve heard from them in the past, but the song never suffers as a result.”
For the next six months, we will be releasing videos from our West Coast tour w/ Free Moral Agents.
Below, you can stream Part 1 of our LBC tour. SWEET!
You will be able to download all 6 parts as we release them; they include late night shenanigans, live performances of new songs across the country, Boots the fox, epic nachos, in-studio performances, and footage of Ikey Owens playing on our song “Rapid.Eye.Movement”. Fun times were had indeed, and now you can view them from the comfort of your own home.
Over the weekend we released a single off of our album “Khimaira” which will be out in Spring 2012. You can stream both songs below, hope you enjoy and get pumped for the big release.
We are also extremely excited to be working with phenomenal artists Alex Castellanos and Grace Castellanos of Acoma Street Photography. They have been doing an amazing job w/ the album art, take a look for yourself. Some great plans are on the horizon, stay tuned!
“…..the track certainly finds the band sounding razor sharp and focused with a slew of serpentine guitar lines that coil themselves tightly around drummer Sarah Wilson’s frantic beats. There’s more of a post-metal influence — think Russian Circles or Isis — than anything I’ve heard from them in the past, but the more aggressive approach suits them well. It’s dense, dramatic and utterly potent. For a group whose music is often about complexity of movement and dynamic shifts in mood and tone, this is an impressive leap forward.” —- LatestDisgrace.com
"For the uninitiated, you’ll find rumbling toms and double bass-drum drives, effusive cymbal precision and capable automatic weapon beats augmented by a flurry of synthetic swishes, swoons and blips. "
